Mr. Dylan "Cain" Carter, age 31, of Douglas, Georgia passed away suddenly at his home Friday Morning, June 14, 2024. Cain was born March 13, 1993 in Douglas, Georgia to Tidwell Carter and Patty Vickers. He worked in materials management at Fleetwood before recently becoming a machine operator at PCC. When Cain was not working he could often be found working out with weights at the gym and he also enjoyed riding motorcycles, but his greatest enjoyment in life came from time spent with his children.
Cain is survived by his mother, Patty and Brent Vickers of West Green, Georgia; his father, Tidwell and Crystal Carter of Douglas, Georgia; 3 children: Case Carter of Willacoochee, Georgia, Roslynn Carter and Rowan Carter, both of Douglas, Georgia; 2 brothers: Isaac Carter of West Green, Georgia, and Colt Carter of Douglas, Georgia; 3 step-brothers: Dylan Vickers, Tyler Hulett, and Caleb Hulett, all of Douglas, Georgia; his grandparents: Patsy Fay Carter of Douglas, Georgia, Edward and Debra Streat of Ambrose, Georgia, David and Cindy Vickers of Douglas, Georgia and Glen and Kay Davis of West Green, Georgia; 3 aunts; and his girlfriend Brittany Rodriguez of Douglas, Georgia.
Cain's family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, June 19, 2024, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc. His funeral will be held on Thursday morning, June 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Cliff Kirkland and Rev. Mathew McEachern officiating. Interment will follow in Douglas City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include: Wes Vickers, Drew Vickers, Brock Vickers, Cannon White, Brayden White, and Kaleb Smith.
