CHURCH HILL – Dylan Blake-Edwards Hill, 21, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Dylan was born on August 14, 2003, in Kingsport to his parents Daniel and Linda (Swecker) Hill. Dylan loved to go fishing and camping and going to car meets and doing burnouts. He loved his family more than anything, and Dylan had many friends, and he never knew a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Daniel Ray Hill; maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Fay Swecker; paternal grandfather, Claude Hill; aunt, Pauline Swecker; uncle and aunt, Jimmy and Tysha Swecker; maternal great grandmother, Maggie Swecker; and his paternal great grandparents, James and Dollie Dugger.
Dylan is survived by his mother, Linda Marie Hill; siblings, Candace Hill, Kayla Hill, Johnnie Swecker, Justin Swecker, Bo Hill, Dakota Hill, Micah, Ethan, and Katiana Garbart; Mamaws, Delores Moore (Randall), and Connie Hill; uncles, Derick Hill (Marissa), Jay "Spanky" Swecker (Angel); niece, Elayna; nephews, Ryver, Jayce, and Ryder; special cousin, Tyler Swecker; best friend, Gabriel Bocanegra; as well as many dear cousins, extended family members, and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor James Adams and Rev. Billy Wayne officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Christian Bend Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 AM to go in procession to the cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnnie, Justin, Tyler, Spanky, Derick, Ethan, Micah, and Gabe.
