Dytanius “Dy” Ford, age 56, departed this life on November 5, 2025. Born to the lateMargaret “Jody” Ford and the late William “Pete” Bradley, in Glasgow, KY where he spent his formative years and touched the lives of many through his kindness, loyalty, and vibrant spirit.
Dy moved to Louisville, KY to pursue his career and became a dedicated employee at Ford Motor Company, where he was employed for 32 years. His colleagues remember him for his strong work ethic and the camaraderie he brought to the workplace. Dy was also a retired U.S. Army veteran.
A passionate motorcyclist, Dy “Pipez” was a proud member of the Rare Breed Derby Birds Motorcycle Club. He cherished the friendships, adventures, and sense of brotherhood he found within the group.
In addition to his parents, Dy is preceded in death by his stepfather, Donald Ray Ford, and his brother, Demetrius Ford. He is survived by his three sisters: Tonya Parmon of Cave City, KY, Lenida Whitlow of Glasgow, KY, and Katrina Franklin (Chris) of Glasgow, KY; sister-in-law Renea Ford of Elizabethtown, KY; aunt Denise Moore of Copley, OH; uncle Dennis Page (Brenda) of Hendersonville, TN; special friend Pamela Ford of Cave City, KY and a host of nieces and nephews. Though he did not have children of his own, Dy had very special bonds with his nieces and nephews, and his legacy will live on through them and the memories shared.
Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY. The family will receive friends at Owens Chapel Baptist Church, Cave City, KY from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM CST Friday, November 14, 2025 and from 10:00 AM to until time of service at 1:00PM CST Saturday, November 15, 2025. Funeral service will also be at Owens Chapel Baptist Church at 1:00 PM CST Saturday, November 15, 2025 with Doctor E.A. Duke and Rev. Dennis Page officiating. Interment will be at Horse Cave Municipal Guthrie Street Cemetery in Horse Cave, KY with military honors.
Dy will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, adventurous spirit, and the warmth he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
