Mr. Eddie Chisholm

Mr. Eddie "Boley" Chisholm Jr.,67, of Tudor Street, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long illness. He was the longtime companion of 26 years, Sallye Sockwell of Waterbury Mr. Chisholm was born June 14, 1954 in Auburn. AL a son to the late Charlie and Inez (Jones) Chisholm. "Honey" as he was known by many, was educated in the AL, public school system before. He relocated to Waterbury many years ago where he resided until his passing. Eddie worked for various companies throughout his life. He was employed as a construction worker until his retirement. Eddie was a great man unlike any other man of God. He was a strong, loving, caring, humble man but didn't take nor like nonsense. He always went the extra mile to provide for his family. Eddie was the heart of home. Eddie loved putting on his Sunday' best with his dress hat. During his free time, he loved scratch off tickets, playing solitaire, listening to music, fishing, cooking and just sitting on his porch watching people pass by. He enjoyed a good conversation, watching western movies and tv shows. One of his favorite shows was Judge Judy. Eddie was a kind protector, father, grandfather, uncle, companion and friend. His last words to us were "It's been real" and that it has been. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He also leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters; Shamari Sockwell of Waterbury and Erika Chisholm of Philadelphia, two sons; EJ Chisholm and Maleke Sockwell both of Waterbury, stepdaughters; Dawn Sockwell, LaTashia Sockwell and Sierra Bynes all of Waterbury, grandchildren; Amir Swinton of PA, Devin Johnson and London Wilson both of Waterbury, three sisters; Charlie Mae Wiggins of NY, Mary North and Dorothy Chisholm of AL, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. He was predeceased by siblings, Ruth Chisholm, Lena Mae Chisholm and James Chisholm.
