Edith J. Huddle "Sis", age 83, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on June 15, 2025, at Kentmere Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.
Born in Chester, PA and raised in Upper Chichester, PA, Edith spent the past 10 years living in Wilmington, DE, and previously resided in Boothwyn, PA. She was a graduate of Chichester High School, Class of 1960, where she enjoyed playing sports and served as the drummer in the high school band.
Edith dedicated 45 years of her career as an office manager with the Southern Delaware County Authority, retiring in 2005. A lifelong lover of music, she was a proud founding member and drummer of the Chichester Alumni Community Band.
An avid bowler for many years, Edith later took up golf and loved traveling to play on new courses. She cherished these experiences and the camaraderie they brought.
In addition to her parents, Ernest P. and Virginia L. (Lundy) Huddle, Edith was predeceased by six siblings: Mildred Durbano, Harold, Everett, Ernest, Lawrence, and her twin brother, Douglas Huddle. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Edith will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
