Edmond Wolven

Edmond Riley Wolven, age 93, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024. Edmond was born and raised in Rockford, MI. He attended Rockford Public schools and went on to the University of Michigan and received his Law Degree. Ed was a long standing member of the Rockford Lions Club, and GR Chamber of Commerce. Ed's passion was his family, country, church, community, practice of law, and U of M sports. Ed also loved being on his boat, golfing, and snowmobiling. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and colleagues.. Ed is survived by his daughters, Deborah Harper and Katherine Zattlin, son Scott Wolven, and daughter in law Jan Wolven. He has 17 grand children and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, his parents Grant and Sabra Wolven, his sisters Betty Bradley, Doris Sonneveldt, his sons Charles Wolven and Daniel Wolven, and grandson Chistopher. A memorial service for Ed and Betty Wolven will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 11 AM at the Congregational Church in Rockford, MI with a luncheon following.
