Edward “Fast Eddie” Barcelo, 68, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, after giving ALS a run for its money. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he was known for his quick wit, irreverent humor, and an undeniable love for desserts.
Born in Cleveland, OH, Ed was the son of the late Iva (Bittner) Barcelo and Edward Charles Barcelo. He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Deborah Barcelo; his children, Kelley (Akhil) Sharma, Katherine (Andrew) Graham, and Kevin (Amy) Barcelo; and his cherished grandchildren: Bodhi, Kaden, Scarlett, Charles, Quinn, Weslee, Henry, and Theodore. Ed is also survived by his siblings, Mark Barcelo and Steven (Stacey) Barcelo, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings, Debra (Graham) Spinney and Dana Barcelo, whose memories remain close to all who knew them.
Ed’s legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and everyone fortunate enough to have known him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love, laughter, and fond stories.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter in Ed’s memory. This meaningful contribution will honor his life and support efforts to combat this disease.
A celebration of Ed’s life will be held on February 1, 2025, from 3:30 to 7:30 PM at the SYB Party Center in Stow, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories, stories, and a few laughs in his honor
