Edward A. Bodolato, a cherished soul known for his gentle demeanor, loving nature, and friendly smile, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on August 1, 1957, Edward's life was a testament to the joy and warmth he brought into the lives of everyone he knew.
After graduating from Lincoln High School in Yonkers, Edward furthered his education at Westchester Community College, earning an associate's degree that would pave the way for his future endeavors. His professional life was dedicated to the Bronx Parks and Recreation, where he not only served the community but also found a second family among his colleagues. His commitment to his work was paralleled by his involvement in various associations, where he contributed with the same passion and enthusiasm that he did in every aspect of his life.
Edward's love for life was evident in his many interests. He was an avid golfer, often found on the greens, perfecting his swing and relishing the camaraderie of fellow golf enthusiasts. Bowling was another of his favorite pastimes, a sport where his friendly competitiveness and team spirit shone brightly. However, it was the thrill of horseracing that captured Edward's heart, a passion he indulged in with the same zest with which he approached all his hobbies.
Not one to shy away from a bit of excitement, Edward also enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of the casino. His love for rock n' roll music, particularly his homage for Ozzy Osbourne, was a thread that ran through his life, providing a soundtrack to many cherished memories. An avid reader, he could often be found with a book in hand, lost in the pages of a captivating story.
Edward leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly: his devoted wife Susan; his sons, Edward Jr. and his fiancée Vanessa, and William; his sister Joanie and her husband Fred; his brother Ronald and his wife Patricia; and his three adoring grandchildren, Edward, Enzo, and Edge. Each of them carries a piece of Edward's kind heart and gentle spirit, which will continue to inspire and guide them.
As we bid farewell to Edward A. Bodolato, we reflect on a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and the simple pleasures that make life worth living. His legacy is one of kindness, a friendly word for everyone he met, and an unwavering dedication to his family and friends.
