He was the loving husband of Yasuko M. "Yako" (Yakushiji) Budinetz. They celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary in December of last year.
Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Edward R. Budinetz Sr. and the late Isabel Budinetz.
Edward worked as a salesman for a coffee company for several years. He was a Vietnam Navy Veteran. Edward was a very honest and good-hearted man with a wonderful sense of humor. He was also an exceptional cook. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
In addition to his wife, Yako, he is survived by a son, Chris; two daughters, Robin and Judy; a brother, Jim Budinetz and his wife Lynn; a sister, Anita Medvedik; a grandchild, CJ; and several nieces and nephews.
No services are scheduled at this time. The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, has been entrusted with the arrangements.

"A soldier has passed away today." You have made your final march down the lonely dusty trail. You are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow Vietnam Veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom and democracy. We all are grateful for your stepping up to the plate when your country needed you the most. The final bugle has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Farewell fellow Vietnam Veteran. A Navy Vietnam Veteran.
