There's an open gate at the end of the road through which each must go alone, and in the light, we cannot see his father claim his own. Beyond the gate your loved one finds happiness, rest in comfort knowing God knows best.
Edward Ford Sr. was born on December 22, 1946, to Lizzie P. Ford and the late Ollie Ford. He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday October 15, 2024, at McCleod Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was the brother of 14 children in which two preceded him in death.
Edward Ford Sr. affectionally known as Luke was a father, brother, uncle, mentor. To know him was to love him because of his humility, kindness, and love.
Luke obtained his education from Dillon County School District. He worked construction in Dillon and Marion County for many years before moving to New York. While in New York he worked many jobs such as the Ford Manufacturing Company, Dubuvsky and Son and Duane Reade. After retiring Luke moved back home to Fork SC. He had a deep affection for both his family and gardening.
Luke Joined the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at an early age.
Luke was married to the late Fodia Ford, which preceded hm in death, along with two grandsons Ronald E Sampson Jr. and Rashawn Mcellan.
Luke leaves to cherish fond memories of his mother Lizzie P Ford Zion SC. Children's Edward/ Sylvia Ford Gastonia NC, Gregory/ Traci Ford Charlotte NC, Sandra/ Mario Ford Fork SC, and Kelvin/ Marina Ford Greensboro NC, one son-in-law Ronald Sampson Sr. Syracuse NY. Grandchildren, April/ Jerome Harley, Keith / Shakiara Ford, Philp / Trachea, Courtney/ Dontarius Simmons, Kiedra, Derrian, Damatia, Bishop, Victoria Ford, Brother and Sisters Madgeline Robinson Brooklyn New York, Charlie/ Jean Robinson Connecticut, Albert / Christopher Ford of Zion SC. Olin Ford Fork SC Russell Ford Mullins SC James/Leslie Ford Darlington, SC, Ida Clark Fork SC Yetty Clark Zion SC, Hattie Pernell Zion SC. Ethel/ Joe Hamilton Marion SC. In-Laws: James Howard Clark Florence SC, Mary McClellan Fork SC., Marshall/ Christene McClellan Gastonia, Carl/ Cathy McClellan Dallas NC, Vivian Rogers Marion SC, and Elisha /John McNeil Florence SC, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
