Edward Steven Gadue, 56, passed away at his home in Johnson, VT. He was born June 13, 1968 in Burlington, VT. He graduated from Milton High School in 1986. As a hard worker, he started work at age 15 as a custodian and had various manufacturing jobs throughout his adult life. He worked for Twincraft and finally joined his Turtle Fur family in 2005. He also worked at Grand Union and Hannaford Supermarkets. He was proficient and took pride in his work.
At a very young age, he enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. That may have inspired him when he was old enough to drive because he would purchase beater vehicles that needed repair. He wanted them to have a new life, a hobby he enjoyed.
In his teenage years, he enjoyed roller skating. Fishing as an adult allowed him to connect with nature and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. His appreciation for hard rock and heavy metal music gave him the enthusiasm to know about his favorite band members. He would share this information with others and introduce them to music that he loved.
As a young adult he had two birds, Baby and Booboo. His love for animals continued with two cats that kept him company at the end.
His family will remember him for his sense of humor and pride.
He was predeceased by his father, Roland F. Gadue, Sr.; his sister Penny Bilodeau; and by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Edward is survived by his mother, Margaret Gadue; brother Roland Gadue, Jr.; his sisters Lisa and Barbarann Gadue; his nieces and nephews, Briana Chambers, Brittney and Nathan Gadue, and his great-nieces Ella and Ava.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, at 10:00am at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Winooski. Arrangements are in care of LaVigne Funeral & Cremation Service. To send condolences to his family please visit www.vtfuneralhomes.com.
