Edward C Knapp Jr.

Edward "Ed" C. Knapp Jr., 70, passed away peacefully at his home in St. Augustine, Florida on August 23, 2025. Ed was born on July 17, 1955 in Shelby, Ohio, to the late Edward C. Knapp Sr. and Estelle (Braddock) Knapp. He graduated from South Central High School in Greenwich, Ohio, in 1973 and went on to work in drywall construction until retirement. Ed married the love of his life, Kathy (Hood) Knapp, and together they shared 46 wonderful years. Ed enjoyed fishing and gardening, finding joy in the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. He was a man of Christian faith, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. His family meant everything to him. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Deana M. Knapp; and his cherished grandchildren, Kalani M. Wilkerson, Aiden J. Murphy, and Gavin C. Murphy. He also leaves behind his sisters, Donna Kubas and June Baker; along with several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Connie Terrell. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Ed's honor may be made to a charity of your choice.
