Edward Marcheschi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Strawser Funeral Home - Blue Ash on Mar. 30, 2026.
Dr. Edward Anthony Marcheschi, 54, of Cincinnati, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2026. A devoted husband, loving father, and gifted physician, Ed lived a life rooted in his Roman Catholic faith, compassion, and service to others.

Ed was raised in Cincinnati and returned in 2000 to start a family. Ed cherished family, traveling with his wife & daughters, his Italian heritage, and connecting over a good meal.

Ed graduated from Oak Hills High School '89 and University of Notre Dame '93, graduating summa cum laude. He received his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati, and completed his sports medicine fellowship at Methodist Sports Medicine.

Ed was a respected physician who cared for athletes ranging from amateur to professional, and known for his clinical excellence and mentorship. He pioneered the incorporation of neuropsychological testing into concussion assessments, now standard practice. As the first elected Chair of the Mercy Health Biologic Orthopaedic Committee, he advanced orthopedic care through his specialization in musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Ed improved countless lives with humility and altruism, finding profound joy and purpose in caring for others. He was most recently a physician at Mercy Bon Secours.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy; daughters, Maribella and Liliana; parents, Orlando and Maruska Marcheschi; brothers, John Marcheschi, Dr. David and Ginga Marcheschi, and nieces & nephews.
