Edward William McCarty

Edward "Ed" McCarty, of Republic, MO, passed away with his loving family by his side on Friday, June 20, 2025. He was born on June 01, 1970, in Springfield, MO, to Jerry and Esther (Worthy) McCarty and was one of four children in the home. Ed graduated from Republic High School in 1988. Ed was blessed with three children, Amanda, Curtis, and Shelbi. Ed was an ASE Certified auto mechanic, working in different shops around the area. He enjoyed going on float trips, fishing, and spending time on the farm. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jim. Ed is survived by his children Amanda Clarkson and husband Brent, Curtis McCarty and wife Karra and Shelbi Parks and husband Tucker, grandchildren Everett, MaeLeigh, Opal, Cohen, Gunner, Oliver and Jess, brothers John McCarty and wife Stacy and Bob McCarty and wife Rhonda, his best fur-buddy, Finley, his Australian shepherd as well as other extended family and friends. A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 5 – 7 p.m. at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Yeakley Chapel Cemetery.
