Obituary of Edward H. Pellow, Jr.
All around good guy and a friend to many, Edward H. Pellow, Jr., age 70, passed on to the Great Beyond peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at his home in Madison.
He was born on November 27, 1954 in Summit to Edward H. Pellow, Sr. and Palmina (Troianello) Pellow. He was a lifelong resident of Madison.
Ed had a passion for restoring classic cars, riding his Harley, and music. He was especially knowledgeable about 1950's and 1960's rock and roll and could tell you anything about a band, song or album.
Prior to retirement, "Edwardo" was employed by Automatic Switch Company for 16 years. He also had his own business fixing jukeboxes at one point. Ed was a master at small engine repair and had a special fondness for his 1966 Pontiac GTO.
Ed was a familiar face around town, most notably at the Waverly restaurant and Plaza Lanes in Madison. He was a quiet, affable man and made lasting friendships with everyone. He left a hell of a lot of stuff to his family who have no idea what to do with it.
Although Eddie is no longer with us, his legacy of laughter and practical jokes will live on.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Sonia; one brother, Kenneth (Kerry); one sister, Karen (Graham); one nephew, Kenneth Edward (Morgan); longtime friend, Maria Prassinos; his dogs, Benny and Charlie; and many, many friends. Special thanks to Atlantic Health Visiting Nurse hospice for all their care, concern, and
comfort during Ed's final days.
"Life is short. We are only here for a visit."
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a visitation for Ed held on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Madison Memorial Home.
Interment and committal service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent's Cemetery, Madison.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made in Ed's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
