Edward Vohsen, 74, of St. Charles, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025. He was born on December 10, 1950, in St. Charles. He is survived by his wife, GeorgAnn, his children, Suzanne Vohsen, Christine Daugherty (Jonathan), Victoria Neistat (Patrick), Phillip Vohsen, Allison Endicott (Corey), and Samuel Vohsen, and his grandchildren, Lily, Avery, Violet, Lincoln, Piper, and Charlotte. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Hilda Vohsen, and his sister Dorothy Anderson.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and the youngest of six children. Married for 47 years, he and the love of his life, GeorgAnn, built a home filled with warmth and love for their six children. As an unwaveringly dedicated father and sports enthusiast, he coached many of his children's basketball and soccer teams, and attended his grandchildren's many sports games as their proudest and biggest fan.

Ed was a career systems programmer responsible for the birth of ATM processing technology. He was a traveler, treasure hunter, avid hiker, productive gardener, lover of all things nature, human calculator with an infallible memory, an album collector and music aficionado, with billowing chest hair and a witty sense of humor.

A member of the Knights of Columbus, he also generously donated his time and funds to countless research and humanitarian charities and organizations. Ed will be remembered as a man of quiet strength-patient, compassionate, and dependable. His life was marked by deep devotion to his faith, his family, and his friends.

Memorial Donations are appreciated to the American Heart Association or the Charles F. Knight Alzheimer's Disease Research Center in honor of Edward.
