Edward D. Williams

Williams, Edward D., Grand Ledge, MI, age 87 died peacefully at home in his sleep on March 26, 2024. He was born on August 29, 1936 in Marilla Township, Michigan to the late Don and Violet Williams. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Honest and steadfast in his beliefs and faith.
Ed retired from Consumers Energy after 40 years of service. A hard working, focused DIY man around the house who could build/fix anything.
He was a neighbor who was always ready to help another neighbor and wouldn't take no for an answer.
A skilled fisherman. He also loved to hunt, white tail deer and grouse in Michigan, Caribou in Canada, and Elk in Colorado with his son and nephew, with trophies to show for it. Yardwork and planting a garden big enough for the neighborhood filled out springs and summers.
Survivors include wife Connie, children Steven D. (Sabrina) Williams, Sheri J. Williams; grandchildren Dallas S (Erica) Williams, Alexis A. Williams, Avery L. Williams; great grandchildren Levi and June along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by infant daughters, Shelli and Mary Kay, and four older brothers Max, Harold, Dave, and Stan
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 4, 2024, 11:00 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, Grand Ledge. Interment will follow after the luncheon at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lansing. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3 from 5-8 pm at Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home Grand Ledge, Scripture Service at 7:30pm. Additional viewing Thursday at the church for 1 hour prior to mass.
