I had Ed as a woodshop teacher, in 1976. Our class project was a napkin holder, with two horse silhouettes. I spent the week "perfecting it". On Friday he asked if It was ready to be graded, and I said yes. After looking at it, he told me that the only way it was going to be graded, was, if it passed his WV test. I agreed to have the WV test. He threw it against the wall, shattering it into a million pieces. I looked at him shocked , and he calmly said " it failed", start over .
Mr Z was a very cool teacher, my condolences to his family.

He was a class act. Very fond memories of his days at Red Hook.
