Edwin Cortes

Edwin Cortes, 16, of Allentown, died tragically on Oct. 31, 2023 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Allentown, he was the beloved son of Tiffany L. Elchin and Michael Cortes. He was an 11th grade student at Emmaus High School and a member of the lacrosse team. He loved cars and enjoyed working on his, he also enjoyed fishing and baseball. He was full of life and a happy-go-lucky kid. Edwin was very funny, strong-willed and had an extraordinary smile. He was loved by everyone, and he cherished his family and friends.
Edwin will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Tiffany; father, Michael; stepfather, Edwin; siblings, Leah Cortes, Noah Marty, Eliza Marty, Delilah Marty, Edwin Marty, and Michael Cortes; paternal grandparents, Edwin and Leticia Cortes; aunt, Shannon Cooke, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of Edwin's life will be held on Sun., November 12, 2023 at 3:00 PM in Faith Church, 6528 Hamilton Blvd., Allentown. Private interment in Northwood Cemetery, Emmaus. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus, PA 18049 is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Edwin's memory made be made to the funeral home to set up a scholarship fund in his name.
