Effie Mae Christian Potts, 79, a resident of Goodlettsville, died Monday, September 29, 2025 at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Potts Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
She was born on March 20, 1946 in Davidson County, Tennessee to the late Walter Christian and the late Mabel Roberts Christian. Effie enjoyed birds, flowers, wildlife, but what brought her the most joy was her family.
Survivors include her two sons, Johnny Potts of McEwen and Earl Potts of San Diego, California; granddaughter, Amanda Bullock of White Bluff, TN; great grandson, Carlos (Cora) Perez; great granddaughter, Caitlin (Evan) Clark; brothers, Melvin (Marie) Christian, Walter Christian and Robert Ray Christian.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Franklin Potts on August 7, 1992 and several siblings.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Potts, Dusty Baker, Larry Niles, and Carlos Perez.
