Eileen Reeves Congleton

On the morning of Sunday, January 26, 2025, heaven welcomed another angel home. Eileen Reeves Congleton, 90, beloved wife of Martin Congleton for over 60 years, passed away at Cedar Ridge Health Campus in Cynthiana, Kentucky.
Eileen was a beautiful, well-loved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She spent her long-life building friendships, making people smile, and working hard as a deputy clerk for Scott County Circuit Clerks Office for nearly 30 years. Anyone who was blessed to cross Eileen's path was sure to remember her. She was a devout Christian and a member of Oxford Christian Church in Georgetown, Kentucky. Eileen and Martin owned Country Cabin Antiques in the small community of Oxford. Eileen enjoyed antiquing, quilting, & cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Martin, her son Chris, and her parents Beatrice Curtis Reeves and Everette Reeves. She is survived by her daughter Jan (Charles) Gaines, four grandchildren, Summer (Shane) Whitaker, Christen (Chase) Allen, Travis Himes, & Cory Gaines, as well as 3 great grandchildren Karter, Kasen, & Caroline.
A Visitation will be held at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral home on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. The Service will be held at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 10:00 am, with James Shackelford officiating. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery, where pallbearers will be Charlie Shackleford, Steve Shackelford, Jeff Parker, Shane Whitaker, Chase Allen, & Joe Jarvis. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Williams, Charles Gaines, Cory Gaines, and Travis Himes.
The family would like to give special thanks and heartfelt appreciation to caregivers, nurses, hospice, and the medical team at Cedar Ridge Health Campus in Cynthiana.
