She enjoyed sewing and crocheting in her spare time.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hammontree; her parents, Gene and Betty Johnston.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tyler and Jennifer Hammontree of Rocky Face; grandsons, Connor and Carson Hammontree; sisters and brother-in-law, Kathy and Tommy Jones of Calhoun, Janice Talley of Chatsworth.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home.
