Elaine Ann Oser, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, at the age of 81.

Elaine was born on May 5th, 1943, in Taylor, Texas, to Oscar and Lena Raschke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur David Oser; her parents, Oscar and Lena Raschke; and her in-laws, Andrew and Effie Mae Oser.

She is survived by her son, Andrew David Oser II, and his wife, Rubi Ann Oser; and her three grandchildren, Lilli, Arthur, and Amelia Oser. She is also survived by her older brother, Lonnie Raschke (and his wife Marilyn), and her younger brother, David Raschke (and his wife Mary), along with her nieces, nephews, and sister-in-law, Betty Scallions.

Elaine was born and raised in Taylor and graduated from Taylor High School. She retired from the State of Texas after more than 30 years of service. She also worked at St. Paul Lutheran School as a teacher’s aide for many years. Elaine was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she generously volunteered her time, served on the Altar Guild, and participated in Bible study groups.

She loved cheering for the Texas Rangers and the San Antonio Spurs. Elaine enjoyed monthly lunches with her high school friend group, exercising at Curves, and long phone conversations with friends and family. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and loved ones.

Elaine was a wonderful, strong, and patient woman who overcame many hardships. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Providence Funeral Home on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m.

A reception will follow at the St. Paul Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 401 W. 7th St., Taylor, TX 76574.
