Eldon Boyer

Eldon Boyer, 88, of Alexandria, passed away peacefully at home on October 20, 2025. Born on February 6, 1937, in Anderson, Indiana, he was the beloved son of James and Helen Boyer. Eldon grew up in Anderson and graduated from Anderson High School before serving his country in the United States Army, where he had the chance to travel the world.

After his time in the Army, Eldon dedicated many years to his career at Delco Remy, a division of General Motors, before enjoying a well-deserved retirement. Those who knew him will remember Eldon for his great sense of humor; he had a knack for making everyone laugh with his quick wit.

Eldon is survived by his loving daughter, Shelli Bybee; Three grandchildren, Michael Woodcox, Jordan (wife, Stacia) Woodcox, and Katelin Hendrickson; He is also survived by his special family friends, Brandy (husband, Keith) Moore and Tim Hendrickson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Peggy Boyer, Son, Jeff Boyer, and Brother, James Boyer.

Visitation for family and friends will take place on Monday October 27, 2025 from Noon - 2:00pm at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013. A funeral service will follow visitation starting at 2:00pm. The Fellowship Lodge #681 and Daleville American Legion assisted by the United States Army will be conducting final rites.
