Eleanor May (Aiken) Foote, RN, 94, formerly of Warwick, passed away surrounded with love on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Brentwood by the Bay in Warwick. She was the beloved wife and high school sweetheart of 62 years to the late Ralph E. Foote, Jr. before his passing in 2014.

Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Elizabeth M. (Jackson) Aiken.

She worked at both the Norfolk General Hospital in Virginia and Rhode Island Hospital in Providence for years before having her first child in 1954. Eleanor went back into nursing 25 years later as an operating room nurse at Kent Hospital for over 15 years, which she truly loved, before retiring in 1993.

Eleanor was a member of the Association of OR Nurses and the Rhode Island Hospital Nurses Association.

Eleanor was a member of the Woodbury Union Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder, Deacon, Sunday school teacher and longtime member of the Chancel Choir. She was member of the Cranston Assembly of Rainbow for Girls, a member of the Grand Cross of Color and Sincerity Chapter Order of Eastern Star, and a member of the Warwick Civil Chorale. Eleanor enjoyed singing, gardening, loved to travel and adored her pets.

She is survived by her children, Bruce Foote and his wife Janice of Manchester, CT, Philip Foote and his wife Lyn of Fairfax, OK, Jean Robinson and her husband Claude of Warwick, RI, and Carol Christensen and her husband Gary of Warwick, RI; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Bernice Simoneau and George H. Aiken, Jr.

Eleanor's family would like to extend special thank you to the caring staff at Brentwood by the Bay and to Eden Hospice for all your kindness and caring given to Eleanor during her time with you.
