Eleanor Scott

Eleanor M. Scott, formerly of Langhorne, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the age of 97.
Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late James Roy Scott for 69 years.
Born in Warren, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Rose Veshio Pirillo and sister of the late Eugene Morris (Barbara).
Eleanor graduated from the Temple School of Nursing and went on to work for many private doctor's offices over the years.
Upon retirement, she opened her own antique shop, Red Sleigh Antiques in Penns Park. She was also an excellent seamstress and sold her some of her works on Etsy. She was even caught selling some of her handbags to hospital staff during her stay earlier this year.
In addition to antiquing, sewing, crafting, and bingo, she loved frequenting Parx Casino, both with her husband Jim, and later with her friends. Eleanor was extremely independent and caring, but was also a firecracker that loved to haggle. She lived a full life, to the very end, surrounded by her friends.
The family would like to thank Eleanor's caregivers, Bendu, Dianne, Angie and especially Leona Nyame, her close friends Jennifer Hunt, Fred, Maddie and Chloe Billet and Dianne Magee for all of their love and support over the years.
Eleanor is survived by her son David James Scott (Marjorie) of Greensboro North Carolina, her 2 grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jennifer (Tom) of South Carolina, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services and interment will be private.
