Elizabeth "Ann" Barkalow, age 71, of Addison, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Guthrie Corning Hospital. She was born on October 9, 1952 in Corning, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Packard) Barkalow.
Ann was employed by the Steuben County ARC. She was very active in Operation Christmas Child. Elizabeth enjoyed the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren's sporting events. She spent her free time crafting and sewing.
She is survived by son, Joshua (Sheri) Allen of Addison, daughters, Jessica Sonner of Arkansas and Josie Allen of Myrtle Beach, SC, special niece, Amy Zucchero,-Litman, and her son Wyatt Litman, grandchildren, Nichole Hyjek, Jordan Allen, Gehrig Allen, Lillian Sonner, and Lincoln Sonner, a great grandson, Mantle Hyjek. Elizabeth was predeceased by her infant daughter, Anna Allen, sister, Sherrill Zucchero and brother, William Barkalow.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Flint Funeral Home, 10 Wall Street, Addison, on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A celebration of Ann's life will follow there at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at Addison Rural Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations in Ann's name to Operation Christmas Child by going to www.samaritanspurse.org.
