Elizabeth J. "Libby" Davis, 71 of
Louisville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.
She was born December 27, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky a daughter to Donald B. Jagger and Elizabeth Patterson Jagger.
As an educator, in her early years she taught at a variety of public schools. After relocating to the Louisville area she was an administrative assistant for Humana Inc. for over 20 years. She was a member of the first female class to attend Norwich University in Vermont.
She was the most loving, compassionate lady, an outside of the box thinker and loved anyone and everyone as much as they loved her. One of her greatest accomplishments was being a mom to her two boys and a "Grammy" to her most precious only granddaughter, Georgia.
As her sons were growing, she was a pivotal person in both the Tolland High School (Connecticut) Eastern High School (Kentucky) lacrosse programs, and was always interested in what her boys were doing. She was a crafter and was known to enjoy her beer out of a wine glass.
Libby is survived by her two sons and their spouses, Brandon (Alicia) and Shane (Jillian); granddaughter, Georgia Davis; sister, Donna Adams; canine companion, Cooper; and "the Boys".
A celebration of life will be from 1:00pm - 3:00pm on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, East Louisville (12900 Shelbyville Road).
To honor Libby's life, the family has asked that you add any photos or short videos of her to the tribute video link: here

Libby was a very special friend and a great person to work with. Back in 2012, she trained me for her former position as she was promoted to a higher position. Since that time, we remained friends and I appreciated everything she done for me and each conversation even if it was just to chitchat. My sincere condolences to her family as she loved to talk about her boys and their family. She will be truly missed!!!

I am saddened to hear Libby passed away. She was such a delight to work with and I enjoyed working with Libby for over 15+ years. She had the best sense of humor, was dedicated to her role at Humana, and loved sharing her expertise and knowledge with others. She will be deeply missed by her fellow admins.

Libby was always a pleasure to work with and so helpful to others. She spoke of her sons often and I am sorry that I did not get to enjoy a cold beer with her but I will definitely turn one up in her honor. Thoughts and prayers for all who loved her and will miss her.
