Elizabeth J. "Bette" Olson, age 95 of Oconto Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at St. Vincent's Hospital. Bette was born on July 15, 1926 in Suring and where she grew up and attended school. She was a beauty apprentice in Suring at the Zuehlke Zill Beauty Shop her senior year of high school in 1944. After living a short time in Birnamwood, WI, and working at a beauty shop in Antigo, Bob and Bette returned to the Suring area to farm. She was a farm wife while raising their 4 children.

Bette was a league bowler for many years, a member of the Maple Valley Homemakers and the Red Hatter's and also enjoyed exchanges and a glass of wine with her Cookie Girls. She quilted and helped at her church, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and was a wealth of knowledge for the Suring Historical Society. Bette loved a good rummage sale and was a collector of many treasures.

Bette is survived by her children, Jack (Judi) Olson, Jim (Marion) Olson, and Diane (Bill) Tisch; daughter-in-law, Susan Olson Krumrei; grandchildren, Jamie (Justin) Neils, Erika (Dale) Schindel, Jeff Olson, Maranda (Eric) Kritzeck, Katie (Jen) Olson, Jesse (Dana) Olson, Erick (Nellie) Olson, Billie (Buck) Tisch, and Tristin (Brooke) Tisch; great-grandchildren, Jack, Jacey, and June Neils, Brynna and Chase Schindel, Drew, Finley, Hank and Piper Kritzeck, Jared and Laken Kusch, and Jax Tisch; along with good friend Cindy Ludtke and her family. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; son, Greg; grandson, Drew; sisters, Donna Dieck and Janet Holtger; parents, Roy and Florina Dieck; and many others.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Fred Mai officiating.
