Elizabeth "Betty" Seuferer, a beacon of unwavering faith and boundless love, completed her earthly journey on February 3, 2026, in
San Antonio, Texas. Born on March 15, 1938, in
Bismarck, North Dakota, Betty's life was a tapestry of devotion to her family, her country, and her God. A selfless soul, she embodied the spirit of Christian service, leaving a legacy of warmth and compassion that will be cherished by all who knew her. Betty's life was a testament to the power of love and dedication. She was a beloved wife to the late James P. Seuferer, a nurturing mother to Shane (and his wife Paula) and Todd J. Seuferer, a doting grandmother to Lauren and Jeremy, and an adoring great-grandmother to Kaitlyn, Aizlyn, and Kenton. Her love extended to her brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins, who found in her a steady source of support and kindness. As a proud graduate of her local high school, Betty's thirst for knowledge and commitment to service led her to the United States Air Force, where she served her country with honor and distinction. Her entrepreneurial spirit later shone as she ventured into business ownership, pouring her heart into every endeavor. Betty's generosity of spirit was evident through her involvement with the Ladies Auxiliary KofC #5262, her tender care for customers as a religious article store cashier, and her active participation in the Marion Society. Betty's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She lived her beliefs through her roles as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, touching lives with her spirited, loving nature. Her hands were rarely still; whether she was engrossed in reading, sewing, solving word searches, piecing together puzzles, baking her famous treats, or creating beautiful embroidery, Betty's interests were pursued with the same passion she devoted to her loved ones. Those who knew Betty would describe her as the epitome of selflessness, a spirited woman whose loving heart knew no bounds. In every aspect of her life, she exemplified the virtues of kindness and patience, always ready with a word of encouragement or a helping hand. As a motivational speaker might say, Betty's life reminds us that "What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal." This quote, attributed to Albert Pike, captures the essence of Betty's enduring impact. Her selfless acts, her spirited laughter, and her loving embrace are etched in the memories of those she touched, transcending time and space. We bid farewell to Elizabeth "Betty" Seuferer with hearts full of gratitude for her life of extraordinary example. Her journey on earth may have concluded, but the love she shared and the faith she exemplified will continue to resonate, guiding and inspiring us all. Betty's memory will forever be a blessing, a gentle reminder of the beauty and grace that can be found in a life well-lived.
