Elizabeth (Liz) Wroblewski (née Glapa) – Born to eternal life and reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Tom, on July 2, 2025.
Devoted wife of the late Tom Wroblewski. Loving mother of Debbie (Gary) Kubasa, Donna (Brian) O'Keefe, Diane Wroblewski-Loos, Susie Wroblewski, and Tom (Cassie Lindert) Wroblewski. Cherished grandmother of Kyle (Sarah) Kubasa, Doug (Kaila) Kubasa, Rachel (Jamie) Lefebvre, Gabrielle (Noah Fang) O'Keefe, Michael O'Keefe, Eric (Courtney) Pagels, Max (Claire Bancroft-Loos) Loos, Nathan Loos, Jon Wroblewski, and Sara Wroblewski. Proud great-grandmother of Blake, Brooks, Lincoln, Adelina, River, Thomas, Henry, and Morgan.
Beloved sister of the late Ted Glapa, the late Leo (Winnie) Glapa, Alice (the late Gene) Richards, Sophie (the late Gene Nowak and the late Henry Meus) Nowak-Meus, Gladys (the late Rich) Glainyk, the late Richie Glapa, George (the late Terri) Glapa, and Christine (Neal) Budahn. Sister-in-law to Mary Ann (Smokey) Krieser, and the late Pete (Sharon) Wroblewski. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Liz was born to Anthony and Mary Glapa in a German forced labor camp during World War II. After the war, she emigrated with her family to the Milwaukee area, where she spent the rest of her life. It was there she met the love of her life, Tom, with whom she shared 49 wonderful years of marriage and raised five children.
Liz took immense pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She worked for many years as a cashier at various grocery stores, most recently at Fresh Thyme, where she was more than just a co-worker-she was a mentor, a trusted colleague, and a true friend to many.
She opened her home to many pet dogs and will be missed by her loyal companion, Tucker.
Though she is no longer with us, her love and spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life gathering will take place at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Visitation from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM with a remembrance at 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
