Ellen Ann Weber, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was called to her heavenly home on October 5, 2022. Ellen passed away at home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 26, 1941, to the late Edward and Mary Jane Weier in Dodgeville, WI. She married the love of her life, Joseph Weber, on September 4, 1961. They enjoyed 61 wonderful years of marriage together and raised four children. Ellen was a vital part of the successful family business, Weber Sales, Inc., for over 25 years.
Ellen loved her family and truly enjoyed spending time with them. She was the true definition of the family matriarch. She prepared countless, delicious meals for every family event, and we are still trying to duplicate her perfect chocolate chip cookies. Ellen also enjoyed: reading, playing games, fishing, traveling, golfing, gardening and visiting with family and friends. Ellen loved spending time at the family cottage in Townsend, WI. She especially enjoyed pontoon rides, campfires, snowmobiling, and falling asleep to the sound of her family's laughter. Ellen also enjoyed being a snowbird, spending over twenty winters in Sebring, FL.
Ellen loved the church and had a deep faith. She was a strong believer in the power of prayer and believed that every day was a gift. We hope her positive outlook in life will encourage others to appreciate the time that they have.
Ellen will be greatly missed by her husband, Joseph Weber, her children: Kevin (Debbie), Steve, Jeff (Melissa) and Susan (Mike) Michlig. Ellen was the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren: Kyle (Jenny) Weber, Ryan (Anna) Weber, Emily (fiancé Jason and daughter Sophia) Weber, Nick Weber, Joshua (Katie) Weber, Tyler (Johanna) Weber, Meghan (James) DeGrave, Kaitlyn (Jacob) Roskopf, Lindsey (Austin) Dyb and Michael Michlig. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren: Oliver Weber, William DeGrave and Baby Girl Weber arriving soon. Ellen will be further missed by her siblings: Elaine Stephens, Jerry (Sharon) Weier, Jan (Don) Ederer, Karen (Rolly) Squire and Dan Weier. Brother and sisters-in-law: Stanley and Alvina Phillips, June Weber, Kenneth Olson, Mike and Rita Weber, and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law: Renzie and Emma Weber, brothers-in-law: Wayne Stephens, Nelmer Weber and Norman Webber; sisters-in-law: Ardella Olson, Bernice Brennum, Isabel Rakow and Rosie Phillips.
Our family would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has provided love and support to us and our mom, especially during these last 11½ months of her life. We will be forever grateful for the compassionate care provided by Christina, Danielle, and the staff of Moments Hospice, and the special children across the street that mom called her "little angels."
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 South State Street, Appleton with Father Bill Swichtenberg and Deacon Jeff Prickette officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. The funeral will be livestreamed at http://stmaryparish.org/funeral-livestream/. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Ellen's name. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery, Appleton.
