Elliott John Evans was born on August 4, 1952 to parents, Louise and Louis Evans. He was educated in the Chicago Public Schools until high school. He then moved to South Haven, Michigan, where he graduated from high school. Elliott participated in wrestling and won various awards, including the state championship. He was eventually inducted into the Wresting Hall of Fame. Elliott received a full scholarship to attend any school of architecture in the United States. He attended Western Michigan University, and went on to design and draw the plans for the first Foot Locker store in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Elliott and his brother, Mike, then decided to move to Los Angeles, where they lived for a few years, enjoying the fast-paced life with fun and excitement. Then, when his father got sick, Elliott moved back to Kalamazoo and cared for his father until his death.
Elliott is survived by his sister, Beverly; nieces, Tiffany, Kiera, Trinity, and Tiffany's husband, Anthony; his nephew, Todd; his best friend, June; and many friends and acquaintances.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009, with funeral services to follow at noon.
