Elmer Francis Lamczyk

Mr. Elmer Francis Lamczyk, of Ashley, IL., departed this life suddenly at his home on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 11:15 A.M. He had attained the age of 78 years, 1 month and 21 days.
Elmer was born on January 29, 1947, in Centralia, IL, the son of Andrew and Anna (Labuda) Lamczyk. He was united in marriage to Charmaine Taylor on August 24, 1968, and they later divorced but remained good friends.
Elmer proudly served with the United States Navy for 4 years. He worked for Yellow Freight for many years until his retirement. Elmer also worked for his entire life on the Lamczyk family farm. He loved to fish, farm, drive a semi, play cards, gamble, and help the less fortunate. Elmer was always willing to lend a helping hand and was always on the go. He will be remembered as someone who worked hard for everything he had.
Left to mourn his passing is his 5 children, Tracey Lamczyk of Nashville, IL, Dewayne Lamczyk and his wife Peggy of Ashley, IL, Summer Boyer and her husband Chris of Edwardsville, IL, Crystal Bannister and her husband John of Edwardsville, IL and Eric Lamczyk and wife Sara of DuBois, IL; grandchildren, Memphis and Ireland Rushing, Cameron, Bella and Savannah Boyer, Gabriella and Brady Bannister, Hazel, Paisley and Eli Lamczyk; step grandchildren, Ryne, Britt, Dylan, Christian, Derek, Holli, Cat and Cassie; 4 siblings, Mary Barczewski of Nashville, IL, Clarence (Imy) Lamczyk of Ashley, IL, Larry (Kathy) Lamczyk of Nashville, IL and Michelle (David) Krawiecki of Nashville, IL; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Alvin (Sylvia) Lamczyk and Leonard Lamczyk; 2 sisters, Doris Lamczyk and Roseann (Raymond) Broviak; brother-in-law, Louis Braczewski; nephews, Bud Lamczyk, Jeff Broviak, and John Paul Ryterski.
In accordance with the wishes of Elmer and his family, cremation will be performed and a memorial service will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 10 A.M. with Fr. Nick Junker officiating.
Friends may call at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom on Saturday from 8 A.M. until the service hour.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the family of Elmer Lamczyk and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
