Mr. Eugene Lamczyk, Sr., of Ashley, IL departed this life at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 8:25 A.M. He had attained the age of 82 years, 10 months and 20 days.
Eugene was born on August 30, 1941, at Todds Mill, IL, the son of Leo and Sophia (Novak) Lamczyk. He was united in marriage to Dorothy M. Piasecki on April 30, 1966, in Posen, IL and she survives his passing.
Eugene was a lifelong farmer and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL. Eugene was a Polka music enthusiast, he enjoyed all kinds of tasty, sweet treats and loved his time with his grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife Dorothy M. Lamczyk of Ashley, IL; 2 sons, Mike Lamczyk and wife Valerie and Gene Lamczyk, Jr. and wife Mindy all of Ashley; 5 grandchildren, KaeLynn, Kane (fiancée Hannah Harris) and Kyle (fiancée Brittnie Bartling) Lamczyk and Andrew and Cali Lamczyk; great granddaughter, Olivia Lamczyk; 2 sisters-in-law, Helen Lamczyk and Dorothy Lamczyk; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Michelle McCormack; 6 siblings, Barney Lamczyk in infancy, Stanley Lamczyk, Sylvester (Delores) Lamczyk, Andrew Lamczyk, Louise (Alex) Liszewski and Bernadine (Bill) Martin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 10 A.M. with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL on Saturday from 8 A.M. until the service hour.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to the St. Michael Cemetery and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
