Elmo Eugene Fainter, 61, of Bevier, Missouri passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 31, 2022.
Elmo was a 1979 Bevier High School graduate and was currently employed at Conagra in Macon, where he has worked since he was 17 years old, investing 44 years of his life. He had planned to retire this June. Elmo served on the Bevier Fire Department for many years. He was always ready and willing to help someone in need. His kind heart shined through and was felt by all who knew him.
To Elmo, his family was his world. Especially his nieces and nephews. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for them. Spoiling them brought him joy.
If you had the pleasure of knowing Elmo, you knew he always had a story to tell. He came by that honest, his Dad loved to tell stories. Elmo had a big heart and was always there when you needed him.
Elmo is survived by his brother's, Gary Fainter and Richard Fainter of Bevier. Several nieces and nephews, Jennifer Jacobus and husband Damien of Wichita, KS. Justin Fainter of Purdin, MO. Gary W. Fainter and wife Brittany of Macon, MO. Crystal Fainter of Chillicothe, MO. Jasmine Schwab of Moberly, MO. Logan Fainter of Bevier, MO. Dylan Higbee, and several great nieces and nephews, Gage and Tate Ludington, Lake Jacobus, Kaden Fainter, Bregan Whoolery, Wayne and Emery Fainter, Emma, Alex and Braxton, J. Treighton Schwab, Remington Johnson, and Analaya Cedillo; several aunts, uncles, and other extended family members.
Elmo is proceeded in death by his parents, Russell and Susie Fainter.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO, with Rev. Denny Lorton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening, 5:00 to 8:00 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Richardsdale Cemetery in Bevier, MO. The family suggests memorials to the Bevier Volunteer Fire Department.
