Emma Cherrix Obituary

Emma was a graduate of Snow Hill High School, a very active member of the Snow Hill Church of Christ, loved walking, was a member of the YMCA Recreation Center in Pocomoke, and enjoyed her job at the cafeteria on the campus of Salisbury University.
She is survived by two sons, Charles "Huck" Cherrix, Jr. (Wendy), and David Cherrix (Tammy), two daughters, Brenda Cherrix Evans and Rita Cherrix Shahan (Cliff), a sister, Catherine Bunn, four grandchildren, Adam Uhlman, Hunter Shahan, Joseph "Joey" Shahan, and Henry Cherrix, a step-grandson, Christopher Brittingham, a great-grandson, Weston Cottman, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Cherrix, Sr., two brothers, Joseph Mason and Charles Spencer, Jr., and her dog Barney.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at The Burbage Funeral Home in Snow Hill. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will follow at Bates Cemetery in Snow Hill. Letters of condolence can be sent to the family via www.burbagefuneralhome.com. Arrangements are in the care of The Burbage Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Emma's name to Snow Hill Church of Christ, 4848 Washington Street, Snow Hill, MD 21863.
