Emmerich G. Burdeshaw, 14, passed away on June 10, 2025. He was born on April 3, 2011 the son of Joshua and Allison Burdeshaw. He was a bright young man who brought energy, creativity and enthusiasm into his interests. He loved playing sports, hanging with friends, and spending time with his family. Emmerich always wanted to be like his older siblings, and oftentimes would try to do what they were involved in. He even taught himself how to back flip, just like his sister. Emmerich was involved in football, soccer, wrestling and German folk dancing and was looking forward to great seasons next year. He put 110% as he played. He would play with determination and grit, but then turn around and help a player up. He had a big heart and cared for everyone around him. Oftentimes he would come up with ways to work in the neighborhood that would help someone out. Emmerich had a strong work ethic and was a Merit Roll student at Green Middle School. At school, he was in the choir and played the trombone in the concert band. He was curious and oftentimes very creative. He was interested in science and wanted to know how things worked. He was aspiring to be a chemical engineer when he grew up. Emmerich had a talent to be good at whatever he tried. He would stay at something until he got it. He was also a strong dancer at the German Family Society, where he shared his love for German dance and tradition that was passed down from his family. He will be remembered for his creativity, his sense of humor, and his love for his family. He will always be remembered by his big smile and loving heart forever.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather James Rasnick.

Emmerich is survived by his loving family, parents Joshua and Allison; siblings Karsten, Eva, and Juliana; grandmothers Hilda Rasnick and Denise Burdeshaw; aunts Erica (Derek Smith) Davison and Kori Jenkins; cousins Madelyn, Landon, Dustin, and Sophia; and many other relatives and many friends. He was loved by many and all will miss him greatly.

Visitation will be held 5:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, June 18, 2025 and Thursday, June 19 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, with Pastor Benjamin George officiating.

Interment will be held at Homeland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts in Emmerich's memory be made to the German Family Society.
