Born in Louisville, he retired from General Electric and was a WWII and Korean War Marine Corps Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rose (Bowman) Fields; parents, Emmitt P. and Elizabeth B. Fields; and son, Emmett F. Fields, Jr.
He is survived by his sons, David W. and Tobin Fields.
Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown in charge of arrangements.

I met Mr Fields twice and shared our common admiration for Colonel Robert G Ingersoll. I last talked to him and encouraged him to seek care at the VA Hospital. So sorry to learn about his passing. My condolences to his family and friends.
