Helen Adelaide (Fleischer) Caffee, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, at Glen Ridge Health Campus with her family by her side. She was born on June 21, 1932, and was a life-long Louisvillian. Helen was a lifetime member of the Kentucky State PTA, a volunteer for JCPS Clothing Assistance Program (CAP), a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Helen was the quintessential stay-at-home mom who supported her daughters' after school activities. She spent countless hours volunteering at their school.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, William L. "Bill" Caffee; her parents, William E. and Nellie M. Fleischer; and her brother, Lt. Col. (retired) Charles W. Fleischer.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara C. (Buddy) Griffin, Judith L. "Judi" Caffee, Jan C. (Dave) Donahue, along with grandchildren, Clint Griffin, Brittney (Jeff) Colyer, Natalie Cox, Evan Donahue, Clara Yunt; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12-4 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd. with a private burial to take place at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Glen Ridge Health Campus for their love and care of Helen over the past six years.
