John Eric Beal, 50, of Maxwell, Iowa, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Eric was born August 21, 1973, in Ames, Iowa, the son of John and Carol Milligan Beal. Eric attended and graduated from Collins-Maxwell High School in 1991 and received his bachelor's degree from Iowa State University in 1997. Eric was the Manager of HR Shared Services at Unity Point.
Eric was a member of the Capitol City Baptist Church, and past member of the Maxwell Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed gardening, reading, being outside, his cats, animals, and working on his 1971 Chevelle.
Eric is survived by his parents: John and Carol Beal of Maxwell; two sisters: Terry (Bob) Jones of Maxwell, Kim (Jeff) Burton of Maxwell; his niece and her fiancé: Anabel Jones and Jack Hill; his nephew: Brock Burton; and many other friends and relatives.
Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Friday, June 28th, at the Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral (422 First Street) in Maxwell. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 29th, at the Capitol City Baptist Church (5990 NE 14th Street) in Des Moines, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Iowa Heart Association.
The Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Maxwell is handling arrangements. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.rasmussonfh.com.
