Eric Joseph Bressette
Essex Junction, VT, and previously of Montpelier, VT
November 7, 1973 – June 16, 2024
To my brother Eric, from all of us who knew you and loved you, you will be missed by all
Eric J. Bressette was born on November 7, 1973, to Dearold and Catherine (Bedore) Bressette, and grew up in Montpelier, VT.
Eric left this world to join his parents, two older sisters, and brother on June 16, 2024.
Eric's laughter, courage, forgiveness, and love for us all will be sadly missed.
Eric was full of life and energy from the time he was born. As a little boy, Eric always could find mischief and get out of most with his boyish smile. In his younger years, he loved all things little boys did, worms, bugs, fishing down behind Grand Union at the River. As he got older, he enjoyed driving fast cars and crashing them even more. He enjoyed spending time with his best friend Robin, roller skating, and watching scary movies for hours.
Eric moved to Lyndonville, VT where he raised chickens, and turkeys, and tended to his gardens. He was the proudest of his tomato plants. He loved to decorate for all the holidays, Christmas being the most exciting for him. Eric always had an appreciation for animals, especially for his Pugs. Eric loved to make people laugh and was always one to have a good story. Eric had a love for
life and never lost hope.
Despite many illnesses over the last few years including the loss of his legs he never gave up. He fought for compassion, to be recognized as a person, and asked only
to be loved.
Eric's love for all of us, his smile, and his laughter and kindness will live on in our hearts forever. Eric's love for his mother and father was immeasurable and his desire to be close to them never faded.
We believe he is now at peace in their arms, safe, and free from illness.
Eric was predeceased by his parent's Dearold Bressette, and Catherine (Bedore) Bressette, sisters Anisha, Carlene, and his brother Randy.
Eric is survived by his son E.J. Bressette, brother Scott, Troy, sister Amy, stepmother Rebecca Bressette, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.
Arrangements are in the care of Guare and Sons Funeral Home of Montpelier, VT. Those wishing to express online condolences may do so at www.guareandsons.com.
Calling hours to honor and remember Eric will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Guare and Sons Funeral Home, 30 School Street, Montpelier, Vermont.
