Eric R. LeGore

Eric Robert "Lump" LeGore, age 51, of Spring Grove, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on October 11, 2024.
Eric was born in Hanover, PA on January 18, 1973 and played football from age 6 through high school. He was center for the Spring Grove Area High School football team in the late 1980's until his graduation in 1991. After high school, he served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for six years. Eric then dedicated over 30 years to P.H. Glatfelter, Co., now Pixelle Speciality Solutions. He loved his current work in the Power Plant more than his previous roles at the factory. He was a former member of Abate, a member of the Union workers, and the Harley Owners Group.
Eric was a gentle giant who lived big. If he thought it, you knew it. He did not hesitate to share his feelings, whether or not you agreed with what he said. Authentic and big-hearted are appropriate adjectives for Eric, or Lump, as his friends called him.
Eric's love for his family and friends was immense. His circle was his world; if you were part of it, he ensured you felt it. Eric's circle was large. He was always on the move, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, going to sprint car races, and camping. He strongly supported service work, often riding his motorcycle to various events. Lump also took the time to take a little girl to school several times on his bike.
Anytime you ran into Eric, you knew how important his family was to him. He often showed pictures and shared stories about his beloved nieces Faith and Delaney. They were the light of his life. He loved to watch them cheer at youth football games, their dance recitals, chorus concerts, band concerts, school plays, and volleyball and lacrosse games. Given his busy schedule, he took every opportunity to spend time with his family when he could.
Eric loved being around his friends as well. No one was more special to him than his best friend, Brian Workman, better known as Worm. Their friendship lasted more than 40 years. Brian was there in good times and bad. He was his sounding board when he needed one. He was more than a friend; he was his brother.
Eric is survived by his mother Susan D. (Lippy) LeGore; his father Robert C. LeGore and his partner Lesli Staley; his sister Kimberly LeGore-Gutshall and her husband Derik; his nieces Kila Faith Gutshall and Delaney Jade Gutshall; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his beloved boxer, Cinder. Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arlene M. (Brumgard) Lippy and Alvin L. Lippy; his paternal grandparents, Lucretia (Bunty) LeGore and Paul B. LeGore and his uncle Richard "Joe" LeGore.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Eric's life will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 11:00AM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362 with Pastor Nathaniel Hedin-Schmidt officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 1:00PM-4:00PM and on Monday from 10:00AM-11:00AM both at the funeral home.
