Eric (Neville) Mattis, born October 16,1930, in Morant Bay, St. Thomas to George Mattis and Daphne Hall-Kinoo. He passed into eternal rest on February 6, 2024. Neville lived a long productive life, touching deeply most everyone he encountered with his bright smile and kind spirt. He migrated to London in 1956, where he worked at Hammersmith Hospital as an engineer for several years. He also worked at Lyons Maid Ice Cream Factory for 11 yrs.
Neville migrated to the USA in the 1970s and resided in Hartford CT. He was employed at Choice Vend in Windsor Connecticut for a few years and later joined Avis Rental Cars at Bradley International Airport and was employed there for 17 yrs. Neville was acknowledged often due to his work ethic and great accomplishments. Neville received many awards for his exceptional work and service to the company and customers.
Neville traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Caribbean, and America. Neville was a lover of music. He had an ear for Jazz, which he enjoyed whether indoor or outdoor festivals. Neville also loved to entertain his long-life friends. Neville was always good for a laugh, a song or a dance with you. Neville was a long-time member of the House of Solomon Lodge.
Neville married Nadra Moses Mattis, they resided in Windsor CT for 32yrs until his time of passing.
Neville leaves behind his loving devoted wife Nadra, daughter Gabrielle Arthurs, son Cleon Moses, grandchildren Jade and Nala, several cousins, relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 9-10, with The Celebration of Life Service at 10:00 am at The Lodge Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Ave., Windsor
