Eric McKey Obituary
Eric Lee McKey, 43, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.
Eric was born on June 29th, 1981, in Forsyth County to the late Wallace Lee Simmons and Phyllis McKey.
He was a graduate of Parkland High School and went on to attend Southern New Hampshire University where he obtained his bachelor's degree. He faithfully served in the United States Marine Corps as well as the Navy Reserves.
Eric worked at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center as a radiology technician. Eric enjoyed woodworking, watching Avatar the Last Air Bender and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jocelynn, his four daughters, Makaila, Kie’Erra, Payton and Alexandra; one granddaughter, Milaya; and his mother, Phyllis.
Eric was most known for being a loving husband, a caring father, and an extremely hard worker. He was well loved and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6th, 2025, at 12:00pm, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. There will be no formal visitation held. A private family interment will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery.
