Ericka Franklin

Ericka Renee Franklin was born to Linda Long and Henry Campbell on January 4, 1973. She attended Linden McKinley High School and grew up in the short north areas. Ericka was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a smile that would brighten up a room. She worked in Health Care for many years. She loved being around her grandkids and loved going to the Casino with her best friend Michelle. She loved life and opened her door to many in need. She was certainly a Blessing to all who knew her: so don't cry for me, but smile for me because what we once enjoyed deeply, we can not lose. The song may have ended, but the melody lingers on in our hearts. I have no more pain and no more doctors appointments. I heard the Master's call and I accepted, for my work here on earth has been completed. I have been set free indeed. This is not good-bye, I'm saying good night until we meet again. If you ever want to see me again, you have to love thy neighbor as yourself and be in obedience to the Lord. Dedicate your life to Christ for he will indeed allow us to meet again and dwell in the house of the Lord forever. We will forever treasure your memories. You are loved more than you know and missed beyond measure.

She was preceded in death by her father-Henry Campbell ;Grandmother- Ella Thompson; her uncle - Fred Thompson; her aunt -Joyce Bridges ; her aunt - Annie Louise Franklin; sister- Yolanda Franklin; and brother-Michael McGee. She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother-Linda Long(Vernon);sons- Dawan Franklin and Donito Franklin; daughter- Donisha Franklin ,Dior Williams, Desiree Franklin, Sir Alexander, Nola Taylor, Layla Franklin, Dawan Franklin Jr., Kayla Franklin, Camia Park, Kaloni Park and Nico Franklin.
