Erin M. Carlson

Erin M. Carlson, 31, of Naubinway, MI and formerly of Rapid River, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
She was born on February 4, 1993 in Grayling, MI, daughter to Shawn Michael Thompson and Bonnie Sue (Seaton) Hardwick. Erin attended Rapid River School and graduated in 2013.
On June 15, 2019, Erin married Cody M. Carlson in St. Ignace. They were raising their family in Naubinway.
She currently was a waitress at the Cut River Inn in Naubinway.
Erin loved the outdoors. She enjoyed camping and hiking but spending time with her family and being a mom was her pride and joy.
Among survivors include her husband; children, Davonta Joseph, Aksel Michael, and Brier Rose; father, Shawn M. (Kellie) Thompson; mother, Bonnie S. (Clyde) Hardwick; siblings, Kelli Seymour, Justina Seaton, Faith Thompson, Kayleigh Hardwick, Amanda Hardwick, Ken Svalbe', Tori Thompson, and John Boston; her fur baby, Willow; several nieces and nephews including special niece and best friend, Lillian; and father and mother-in-law, Charles "Jim" and Cheryl Carlson.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Hermon Seaton; grandmother, Patricia Bourdeau; uncle, Daniel Conner; and aunts, Judith Seaton and Colleen Martray.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 19th from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. In keeping with the family's wishes of honoring Erin, they would respectfully request that friends and relatives wear pink or blue colors to attend. Erin never wanted to see people sad.
