Since 1991, I have traveled aboard the `train of life´ with Erna Bringe. Our journey had many stops which allowed us to explore, enlighten, advise each other and those we shared our experiences with while the `train was in the station.´ Erna´s passing was a shock, but I will keep calm and carry on, all the time knowing her hand is on my shoulder to support (and yes guide) me through life. I´ll miss the calls, cards, and creative reminiscences that will remain forever unique and timeless.

Mrs. Bringe will always be remembered as my favorite teacher. She was my FVHS shorthand and typing teacher. She was a joy to talk and joke with, tough enough to make up learn, and kindness/trust to let us leave class early. I can still hear her voice: 'Ladies, go blend'. With heartfelt thoughts and memories.

Mrs. Bringe was my absolute favorite teacher at FVHS. She encouraged me upon graduation to go straight to work and not give it a second thought. I was taking shorthand speeds of 130 wpm and she said, my dear with your secretarial skills you can get a job next week! And I did and never once regretted it. She had such a fun way with us seniors and often would tell us to "go blend in the courtyard" as we were excused from her class that day. We were sent out and sternly reminded that if we got ourselves in trouble, we were not in her class! Lol All this happened 53 years ago and I remember itlike it was last week. What a gift she was to us girls.

Without the patience of Mrs. Bringe, I never would have learned to type. Taking her class allowed me to have a wonderful and successful business career as my ability to type gave me an advantage over others and let me communicate to my employees easily and quickly.

Later in life I used my typing skills to write three books and have them published along with a blog that helps me stay in touch with friends and family. I can't imagine how my life would have been different without her helping me grow and survive.

Thank you, Mrs. Bringe, for being one of the really good ones in high school.

Mrs. Bringe was one of my favorite teachers. Her sense of humor was wonderful. She said I always made her laugh. She made me laugh all the time. Not to be expected in a shorthand class.
I remember her often. I send you my condolences &prayers.
