Ernest Feik passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. He was born in Sealy, Texas on September 5, 1942, to parents Ernest and Ann Feik.
Ernest later attended Lamar High School in Rosenberg, Texas. After high school, he met the love of his life Joan Brast of Sealy. He often told people that after their first date, he knew she would be his last love. They were married in Sealy on July 25, 1965, until her death in 2007. Ernest and Joanie were both lifelong members of Sealy Immaculate Conception Church.
Ernest had a servant's heart and served in multiple organizations including the Sealy Volunteer Fire Department, Sealy Knights of Columbus, and Immaculate Conception Church. After her death, Ernest immersed himself in activities with the church and with the Sealy Knights of Columbus. Being a retired carpenter from Brown and Root gave him the skills to help with countless construction projects for both organizations. He and his crew of friends were never afraid to tackle any project needed.
Ernest also had a lifelong attraction for most outdoor activities, whether that be hunting fishing, or even water skiing, but the Texas coast was by far his most beloved spot. Ernest didn't go fishing, he went catching. If anyone ever doubted that, he had the pictures to prove it.
Ernest is survived by his daughter Michelle and Bo Blazek, daughter Wendy Feik, and son Jason and Courtney Feik; and, grandchildren Hillarie and Kord Quintero, Jacob and Kayla Blazek, Hailey Feik, and Lillian Feik.
He is preceded in death by parents Ernest Feik and Ann Eben, brother Ron Malek, and wife Joanie Feik.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the El Campo Hospice Inc. at hospicesupporinc.org or to the Alzheimer's Association at ALZ.org.
