Marjorie "Marge" Madel Feik, 95, went home to Jesus on Saturday May 25th, 2024 She lived her final years at Loveland Good Samaritan with the love and support of family and her very compassionate, loving caregivers.
Marge was born August 13th, 1928 at home on the family farm in the farming community of St. Peters just south of Fleming, Colorado. She was the youngest of 7 children born to Edward and Clara (Wessel) Feik and the last survivor of her generation.
Marge attended St. Peters Catholic School (just a 1/2 mile walk from their farm) 1st through 8th grade where she graduated in a class with 6 students. She attended St. Peters High School for 9th and 10th grades. Her Junior and Senior years were spent at St. Patricks Academy in Sidney, Nebraska where she lived with 3 of her sisters who worked at the Sioux Ordnance Depot. She graduated high school on May 21st, 1946.
In 1949 Marge and her sister Donna moved to the big city of Denver to pursue employment. Together they were able to purchase their first house in 1954 and then they moved to Golden in 1965. A house was purchased in Loveland and the 3 sisters (Donna, Marge and Bernie) moved in together in 1989 after they all had retired.
Throughout her career, Marge worked as a Bookkeeper and Office Manager. It was important for her to always be active and volunteer in church and community activities where she lived. She was a member of the Council of Catholic Women (CCW). On a personal level, she was a second mother figure to many nieces and nephews and had been there since the beginning. Marge was a very positive person and she inspired us all with her unconditional love, support, advice, generosity, kindness, laughter and her example of great faith will never be forgotten. Marge loved to travel with her sisters, garden, read a good book, play cards and BINGO was definitely her game!
Preceding Marge in death were her parents Edward "Pop" and Clara Feik, brother Bruno Feik, infant sister Elizabeth Feik, sisters Bernadette "Bernie" (Feik) Hubersberger, Stella (Feik) Olick, Madonna "Donna" Feik and Rosemary (Feik) Cumpsten.
Left to cherish her memory are four generations of nieces and nephews that she dearly treasured each and every one of them!
Services will be held Wednesday June 19th, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland, Colorado. Recitation of the Rosary will start at 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. The family would be honored if you would join them for a luncheon afterwards in the Parish Hall at the church. A private inurnment will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
